May 15 from 12-4 p.m., Women on the Green Golf Clinic

Save the date! Soroptimist International of Polson is sponsoring it's annual Women on the Green golf clinic on Saturday, May 15, at Polson Bay Golf Course from Noon-4 p.m. Clinic events include lunch from 12:00-1:00 and breakout groups for long and short games and putting from l:00-4:00. Brandy Casey and pros from Kalispell and Missoula will be on hand for the instruction. Clinic and lunch cost is $75 per participant. Attendance will be limited to forty ladies. Early reservations by May 10 are much appreciated but not necessary. Tickets for the lunch and clinic can be purchased at The Terrace and Wallace's Golf Shop. May 31 at 12:00 Noon, Memorial Day Parade

Memorial Day Parade will start in Ronan at 10 a.m. and Polson at 12:00 Noon. Memorial services at the Ronan Cemetery will be held immediately after the parade and services at the Polson Cemetery will be held immediately after the parade. June 19 & 20, Relay for Life

Lake County Relay for Life will be held June 19th and 20th at the Polson High School Sports Complex. It is an all night event to celebrate those who have won the battle against cancer, remember those who have lost their battle and to fight back against the disease so that people cannot be hurt by cancer in the future. There are activities through the night, plenty of food, lots of laughs and many tears. It is truly an amazing experience that everyone is invited to participate in and help us toward one common goal...to find a cure for cancer! All Survivors and their caregivers are invited to the Survivor Reception at 4:30 p.m. to celebrate life the best way we know how. Opening Ceremony begins at 6 p.m. with the Luminaria Ceremony at dusk and the Closing Ceremony at 7 a.m. Contact Karen Dellwo at 406-261-1001 for more information.

June 25-26, Mission Mountain PRCA Rodeo

Polson Mission Mountain PRCA Rodeo at the Polson Fairgrounds- Starts at 8 p.m. on both days. This event is a two night action packed Pro Rodeo in a beautiful setting at the Polson Fairgrounds arena. The Fairgrounds are located across the bridge on Hwy 93 North and bordered by the Flathead River with spectacular views of the Mission Mountains and Flathead Lake. June 30-July 4, Arlee Pow-Wow

Open to the public and free admission. Please check out their website for the events schedule at www.arleepowwow.com. Arts, Crafts, Stick Games, Dance Competitions, Indian and other various ethnic foods. Sponsored by the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribal Nation and Yamncut (Drum Groups). July 4, at 12:00 Noon, 4th of July Parade/Celebrations

Show some patriotism and community spirit by entering the Polson Fourth of July parade and participating in the Freedom Celebration at Riverside Park directly afterwards. Parade starts at 12 noon. Any entry is allowed, pre-register if you would like to be judged for an award. Winners will be announced at the Freedom Celebration at Riverside Park directly following the parade. Fireworks Display at the Fairgrounds at approximately 10:45 p.m.(dusk). Categories: Floats, Antique Cars (1900-1931), Vintage Cars (1932-1948), Classic Cars (1949-newer),Bands/Music, Equestrian, Children (14 & under), and Misc. Each category has a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbon. All entries will receive a participation certificate.

July 16-18, Standing Arrow Pow-Wow

July 17-18, Live History Days

You'll want to be at the Miracle of America Museum's annual Live History Days celebration July 17th and 18th. There you can watch and often try your hand at numerous crafts. There will be duck decoy carving, spinners, weavers of both wool and wheat straw, lace makers, embroidery and leather workers, quilters, and Native Americans doing bead work, basket making, and soap making. There will be a buck-skinner with a black powder gun, axe throwers, a fly tier, blacksmiths and operators of engines, antique vehicles and tractors. There will be three trains, a tank, army rigs and other vehicle rides, even a pump railroad velocipede, an operating sawmill, and schoolhouse activities. Munch a lunch in the afternoon while you relax and enjoy Montana old time fiddlers, accordionists, banjo pickers and more. Additional artists and craftspeople are welcome to join in for any of the two day event. This is held rain or shine and the main building is air conditioned. Admission is $5.00 for all over age three, and all rides are included as often as desired. The food is extra. On Sunday at 2 p.m., there will be a big screen showing of "Smoke on the Waters" a documentary of steamboats of Flathead Lake, followed by "Timberjack" a 1950's movie partially filmed here. July 17-18, 3-on-3 Hoop Shoot

August 6, 7, & 8, Cruisin' By The Bay

On Friday night the concert will be held on 3rd Ave in front of the Cove Deli Pizza from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. with music by "Hot Rod Deluxe". On Saturday night the concert will be held in Riverside Park from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. with music by "Bop-A-Dips". August 7, Water Daze

One mile swim race at Boettcher Park beginning at 1 p.m. There will be lots of fun activities for the kids and a BBQ. There will also be a fun swim after the 1 mile swim. August 14, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Soroptimist Wine Festival

Enjoy an evening out with Soroptimist International of Polson at their special 25th annual Wine Festival event on Saturday, August 14 at TBA. This is the largest fundraiser for the year. All raised monies stay local for assisting various organizations and providing scholarships to local girls and women. Hors d'oeuvres and wine tasting, live music, silent and live auction. $TBA/person. Tickets are available at Terrace Floral or The Crows Nest Gallery. For more information call 883-2668.

August 14, Art Festival

The Second Annual Smokin' On The Water BBQ Cook-Off is sponsored by the Polson Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at the KwaTaqNuk Resort. Trophies awarded in all categories! Join us in a BBQ Cook-Off of beef, chicken, pork and your amazing sauces! New Open Category "Chef's Choice" anything you desire that is edible. Chili Cook Off, children's games and activities, raffle, etc. More details to come.... The proceeds from the Annual Rotary Chili Cook Off will be awarded to a specific youth project in the local community. Projects must benefit the local youth of our community.
